After Harajuku, it was time for Shibuya and Shibuya 109! To summarize the whole experience: wow. Shibuya 109 is huuuuuge, and it felt like there wasn't a last floor. I bought a cap, but it was actually a experience itself just to be there. You didn't have to buy anything to enjoy it. Be sure to google Shibuya 109 as well.

When we came out from the shopping mall, we were welcomed by Shibuyas stunning night view. It almost took my breath away, it was so beautiful and a great ending of the day. It really felt like Tokyo to see all the people, lights, signs and everything. I love this city. ♡

Everything went fine today, except on my way home. Let's just say that it's way too many people during rush-hour for little me to find my way at the huge Ikebukuro station... But after a (quite long and confused) while, I managed to get home. End of story. ☆

Good morning! Todays plans is to meet up with Nao and master the train and subway system of Japan. My host mom gave me very clear instructions but I still need my dragon and master sword I think. I'm not even kidding, when people told me that the train system is "a little bit tricky", they sure didn't exaggerating...
But if I don't get lost on the way, I'll meet up Nao at the station close to my school, which begins next week, and we'll try to find our way so we're prepared when school starts. And after that.... Harajuku!! I'm super excited, finally I'll be able to see what I've only seen on photos before. And I promise to bring my camera as well. :)

This is Akira, a very well known japanese artist and model, who speaks about something I find very important. Especially in countries like Japan, dressing like the opposite gender can bring much attention to you. In Sweden, a girl dressing like a boy doesn't mean anything special, it's actually very common among teenagers. But people are still so old fashioned and find boys dressing like girls very strange. But in this video, Akira speaks about girls who dress like boys in Japan, and also much about about her own impressions and thoughts.
Apparently dressing within a street style that is considered as "boyish" when you are a girl, can bring some consequences. Even if Akira herself is very successful, dressing alternative isn't always a dance on roses.

You should watch this video for a better understanding about what I'm talking about, but I couldn't agree more with Akira when she says: "I hate the whole concept of gender. All that matters is that you are beautiful."

It's around 4.15 pm here in Japan right now, and it still feels like I'm flying over pink, fluffy clouds. Except eating delicious food I've been playing Wii with my host sister and bought a train card with my host mom, as well as watching some tv haha. But tv is for sure much more interesting here in Japan, and good practice as well for someone like me who only studies the language.
